More and more often, people are sharing their digital photos on the web and through email. This is especially nice when you have family and friends who don't live nearby. Sharing photos of the events in each others lives can help you feel closer to one another.
One of the things I like about digital cameras is that, unlike film, you can reuse the storage media over again with no extra cost. It is so annoying to only be able to store a few photos on your film camera, with no 'do-overs' once they are taken. I think it's great to be able to view the results immediately and if you don't like them, you can just retake the shot.
You can use photo editing software to alter your images that gives you a totally different photo than what you started with. You can use it to sharpen the focus, crop out unwanted parts, get rid of red eye and much more. Once you get used to the software, you may find out you can do some pretty creative and fun things with your photos. Your imagination might be your only limit!
Digital photography is a wonderful innovation for this ' instant everything' world. No more waiting for your film to be developed! Just download your pictures to your pc, edit them as needed and you are ready to share your 'masterpieces'.
